2026’s Sleeping in Cars event will take place in March 2026 and we’ll be posting more details soon. Now is a great time to talk to friends and family to see if they want to join in and it is the perfect time for businesses to consider becoming a sponsor.

Sleeping in Cars raises money for Places for People but more importantly raises awareness about the need of appropriate housing for everyone in our community. Affordable housing is needed for many of low and moderate income; people you meet scanning your groceries, cutting your hair or serving your food are in need of affordable housing. There are many homeless, hidden by couch surfing, living in untenable conditions or sleeping in cars.
