Sleeping in Cars: Cold Night, Warm Hearts
There are moments that remind us just how powerful a community can be—and Sleeping in Cars was one of them. What started as a single night brought together an incredible group of people, all willing to step outside their comfort zones to raise awareness and support for housing in our community. From the moment participants arrived, bundled up and ready for the experience, there was a shared sense of purpose that carried through the entire event.
Because of that commitment, we are thrilled to share that we have raised $58,738.43—and counting. We are so close to our goal, and that momentum is thanks to each and every person who played a role.
To our main sponsors, Haliburton Gold Group RE/MAX and MyPortal, thank you for your leadership and generosity. Your support helped make this event possible and meaningful.
To our community partners, sponsors at every level and volunteers, your time, energy, and dedication brought everything together behind the scenes. Events like this don’t happen without you—and we are so grateful.

The heart of our event are the participants - to everyone who took part—thank you!
You showed up with open minds and big hearts, embracing the experience and helping shine a light on the realities many in our community face. Your willingness to participate made this event more than a fundraiser—it made it a powerful act of empathy and awareness.
At its core, Sleeping in Cars is about more than one night. It’s about people coming together, showing compassion, and taking action.
And that’s exactly what you did.
Thank you for standing with us.
